scene analysis: hammer throw
The scene in reference I am going to analyse this scene because it has a lot to talk about Firstly, The Mise-en-sene of the trenchbull's outfit. Her outfit in many ways is supposed to connote fear. The jacket and tie get-up gives the idea of a solider outfit, soliders connote war, fighting, fear(of an enemy. and it seems far in my opinion i think it's supposed to compare her to the SS. All these negative connotations tells the audience as soon as she is on screen that she is evil and heartless. second, Camerawork they do some interesting things with camerawork in this scene. The use of an extreme close up here makes you feel uncomfortable like she is invading your personal space.
